3 min Reading time Free solar panels on your roof—it sounds too good to be true. But with the temporary value-increase grant from the SNN (Northern Netherlands Partnership), it’s possible.
The SNN launched this temporary scheme to compensate homeowners who have suffered property damage of at least €1,000 caused by gas extraction activities by the NAM (Dutch Petroleum Company).
If the NAM has confirmed damage to your home, you qualify for this scheme and can receive a subsidy of €4,000. Zonnefabriek offers you the opportunity to use this subsidy to have solar panels installed on your roof for free. This helps you save on energy costs and increases the value of your home.

Step 1: First, request a quote for 8 solar panels. The SNN requires you to submit a quote and/or confirmation of order with your application.
Step 2: Submit an application through the SNN’s e-loket (online portal).
Step 3: Include at least the following documents with your application:
A letter or damage report from the NAM confirming damage to your home
A copy of your purchase agreement or the delivery document for your home
Any decisions or applications for other subsidies (if applicable)
Step 4: If you meet all the SNN conditions, you will receive a formal grant approval. You can find the conditions [here].
Step 5: Submit an invoice through the SNN e-loket. Once approved, the subsidy will be transferred to your bank account. You do not need to have paid the costs in advance.
Please note: SNN has up to 8 weeks after invoice submission to decide on your reimbursement request.
